Sangolli Raayanna The Great Warrior

Shree Sangolli Raayanna (Kuruba) a great Warrior under Shree Channamma, the Queen of Kittur Kingdom. He was born on 15-8-1798 (Independence-Day) in Sangolli Village of Karnaataka and he was hanged by the Britishers to a Banyan Tree in Nandhagada Village, on 26-1-1831 (Republic-Day). A Kannada Film named after him is produced by Shree Anand Appugola (Kuruba), a deciple of Sangolli-Raayanna, is scheduled for release on 1-11-2012, the day of 'Karnaataka Raajyothsava Day' (State Re-organisation Day).
